Our booth was buzzing with energy as we demoed the 1TimeShop super-app – the all-in-one platform for taxi rides, food delivery, groceries, and logistics. The event, centered on the global theme "Trust, Transformation, and Tomorrow: The Science We Need for 2050," highlighted the practical role of science in everyday life and encouraged young minds to embrace it as a tool for societal progress.

The partnership kicked off with interactive visits to two secondary schools in Asaba, where representatives from 1TimeShop and ministry officials engaged students in enlightening sessions. These outreach programs focused on demystifying science, emphasizing why trusting scientific principles is essential for personal and communal betterment. Students learned how science drives sustainable solutions to real-world challenges, from environmental conservation to digital empowerment. "We wanted to show these young people that science isn't distant or abstract—it's the foundation of a brighter future we can all build," said a ministry spokesperson during the sessions.

The highlight of the celebration was a keynote address delivered by Mr. Jeffery Obaro, CTO and Co-founder of 1TimeShop, at a special gathering hosted by the ministry. In his closing remarks, Obaro extended heartfelt thanks to the Honorable Commissioner and the directorate of the Delta State Ministry of Science and Technology for their unwavering support. "This partnership exemplifies how local innovation can amplify global themes, and we're grateful for the ministry's commitment to nurturing science-driven progress in Delta State," he added.
